Obituary for William "Bill" Steele

Bill Steele, age 61 of Big Rock, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 16, 1958 in Murray, Kentucky, son of the late Otis Edward and Maureen Burke Steele. Bill retired after 35 years of service from the Tennessee Division of Forestry. He worked as a plow operator where he was dispatched many times out west and to the southern compact to help fight forest fires. He was a member of the Dover Church of Christ, an avid Piney Camper, and a jokester to all who knew him, because $50 is $50.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Tina Shelton Steele, daughter, Heather Henrickson (Jeb Stevens), Cunningham, TN, brothers, David Steele, Manchester, England, Gary Steele (Judy), Dover, TN, sisters, Kim Williams (Billy), Dover, TN, Kay Lyle (Mike), Sango, TN, grandchildren, Brooklyn Cobb and Abigail Henrickson, one great grandchild, Henli, several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, and his beloved dog, Dixon.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home with Scott Webber and Jonathan Hardison officiating. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Brian Shelton, Ed Williams, Chad Holder, Danny Parker, Scott Smith, and Don Tate.
