Obituary for Percy Vinson Williams

Percy Vinson Williams, of Dover, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in his residence at Diversicare of Dover. The funeral will be 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. John Polk officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Memorial Gardens, Dover, TN with visitation Friday July 19th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Grandson’s and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Stout) Williams, his parents, Edward and Edith (Vinson) Williams, six brothers and sisters, one being a twin sister (Flora), and a son-in-law Roscoe Batton.
Mr. Williams was a humble, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He is survived by one son, Billy Williams (Kim), two daughters, Louise Dean (Mike), Edith Batton, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, and all of Dover, TN.
Mr. Williams was a faithful member of the Dover Church of Christ and worked at Joe Martin Co. and then Fort Donelson National Park, where he later retired from. Mr. Williams was one of the first members of Dover’s volunteer fire department and was a veteran of the United States Army.
